According to Vice President Ray Blow, when this hill opened in the 1930’s it was only the third ski area east of the Mississippi to open and it would see 1,500 to 1,800 people per day. It was run by the Town of Brattleboro until the mid-1990s when it was shut down. Private funds were raised and in 1999 the ski hill was opened again by the non-profit Living Memorial Park Snow Sports, which still operates the hill today.
